The International Booker Prize
Awarded each year to the best work of fiction translated into English and published in the UK or Ireland. The £50,000 prize is shared equally between the author and the translator. Winners 2016–2025.
The International Booker Prize was established in its current form in 2016, when it shifted from a biennial lifetime-achievement award to an annual prize for a single translated work. It is the most prominent prize in the world for fiction in translation.
The prize puts translators on equal footing with authors — a recognition that translated fiction is a collaborative art. Every winner is listed here with both the original author and the translator whose English version won the award.
